Italian Salad Dressing

It’s almost salad season, a.k.a. too hot to eat anything else. I love this recipe because it makes a great jumping point to tweak it for your taste buds. Like it spicier? Add more chili flakes. Prefer a different vinegar? Change it up. Missing one of the herbs? Improvise. Are you out of maple syrup? Try agave!
The way it’s written is exactly how I make it but with this base, feel free to make it your own. And yes, I mean real maple syrup- not Log Cabin. And it won’t taste like mustard, settle down. Enjoy knowing what is actually in your salad dressing at a fraction of the cost of a bottle at the store.
