Oh the things I could accomplish if I didn’t have to sleep for eight hours each night! Who am I kidding, it’s more like six. But still!
I know I’ve been pushing myself too hard when I start considering how to pull this off. Too much scheduled in too small of a time frame. Totally my own undoing.
So I ask myself what HAS to get done and separate that from the nice-to-dos. I made chicken nuggets with a side of carrots, cucumbers, and ranch instead of the much more elaborate meal I had planned. I did not go to run an errand that can wait until tomorrow. And I let go of writing you the world’s best blog post, because until I get this no-sleep thing figured out, I really need some if I want to make it through the fun-filled weekend I have planned.
Please, don’t go without sleep. It’s more important than most of us give it credit for. I really hope you get a little extra this weekend. May the kids learn to pour their own cereal and the dog learns to let itself out!
