Easy St. Patrick’s Day Activities

Easy St. Patrick's Day ActivitiesI now have green fingers, but also a cute shamrock mason jar candle holder just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. I love being crafty and when I can involve my kids, even better. Unfortunately though, my treasures rarely look like Pinterest gems. They are more like “Jentries”- Jen, trying. I do not have patience or fantastic attention to detail so my crafts need to be simple and uninvolved. The picture I posted is my take on the jar candle holder  linked below. I used stickers because me trying to xacto knife a shamrock really would have been a disaster. Luckily the sticker idea worked great. You could really let your imagination run wild with these- flowers, letters, stars. I love the concept (I just need her attention to detail).

So for those craft-challenge out there, I sought out some more St. Patrick Day crafts and activities that you can do with your kids that won’t have you feeling like a Martha Stewart flunky. The most important thing to remember is that your kids don’t know that your “Jentries” aren’t perfect. In fact they think you are pretty talented and they are so excited that you want to sit down and create “stuff” with them. Embrace your talents- you can cut in a straight line, you know your colors, AND you don’t eat glue sticks. See, you’re on your way already.

P.S. If you try these, pretty please post a picture on the Balancing the Busy Facebook page!
