My Love/Hate Relationship with Pinterest

I love Pinterest. Until I hate it. I love finding healthy recipes and inspiration to live well…..until it starts making me feel guilty for the second glass of wine and dark chocolate sitting beside my keyboard. I love reading inspirational quotes until I go back out into the world, realizing that there are a lot of jerks who aren’t on Pinterest. If they are, they are not reading about being kind, or being the change in the world they want to see. Geez.

I have so many pins of great ideas- I hope to actually go back and read them all. And perhaps use a few? I just found a clever pin with a step-by-step guide on how to clean a sewing machine. I had to restrain myself from pinning it based on its great picture tutorial- I don’t even own a sewing machine! Though I will need one to complete some of these pins…

Pinterest is like a magazine hoarders dream (recovering one, right here). It’s a collection of every little corner I’ve ever torn from a catalog with the intent to do it, make it, or buy it in that magical time zone called “someday.” Maybe my friends posting these great recipes will just invite me to dinner?

How do you manage your Pinterest collection? Do you actually make the things you pin, are you selective of what you pin, or do you just pin every colorful picture you see? I need answers people. I want to love it, but I’m feeling overwhelmed that I will never get to it all. Oh, and there you go, pinning another adorable mason jar craft that I have to repin too. It’s a never-ending cycle. First world problems, right?

In an effort for some “me” time tonight, I’m just going to share my current five favorite pins that are on the top of my to-do list. If you have done them- please share how it went! If you have a favorite you’d like to share, please do!!
